ICMJE Recommendations

Vestnik KazNMU supports and follows the Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals developed by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).

These recommendations establish internationally recognized standards for authorship, disclosure of interests, editorial independence, protection of research participants, peer review, and publication ethics. By aligning its editorial practices with these principles, Vestnik KazNMU seeks to ensure transparency, accountability, integrity, and high standards in biomedical publishing.

The journal applies these principles together with its own editorial policies, including the Publication Ethics Policy, Research Ethics Policy, Peer Review Policy and Process, and other related policy sections.

Authorship in the journal follows the authorship criteria defined by the ICMJE. Authors are also expected to follow relevant international reporting guidelines appropriate to the study design, as described in the journal’s Research Ethics Policy and Instructions for Authors.

The journal encourages authors, reviewers, and editors to familiarize themselves with the ICMJE Recommendations and to follow them in the preparation, evaluation, editing, and publication of scholarly work.
