Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern
Vestnik KazNMU is committed to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of the scholarly record. In accordance with the recommendations of COPE and other relevant international editorial standards, the journal may issue corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern where necessary.
Corrections may be issued when minor errors or non-substantive inaccuracies are identified after publication and the overall findings of the article remain valid.
Retractions may be issued when serious problems are identified that render the findings unreliable or involve significant ethical or publication misconduct, including plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication or falsification, serious methodological flaws, copyright infringement, or unethical research.
Expressions of Concern may be issued when serious concerns exist regarding the reliability or integrity of a publication, but the available evidence is not yet conclusive or a formal investigation is still ongoing.
Correction, retraction, and expression of concern notices are published separately, linked to the original article, and remain part of the permanent scholarly record. Retracted articles are not normally removed from the journal archive, but are clearly marked as Retracted.
Decisions regarding corrections, retractions, and expressions of concern are made by the Editor-in-Chief, with consultation of the Editorial Board where appropriate. Authors will be informed in writing and, where feasible, given an opportunity to respond; however, the journal may proceed with editorial action where necessary to protect the integrity of the scholarly record.
Further details are provided in the journal’s Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern Policy.
